The New Face of
Diversity in Business Training: How
to communicate effectively with persons with disabilities in and out of
the workplace.
This
training program shares real life stories of the everyday adversities
faced by persons with disabilities and their families. Rose Lee's hands
on experiences elevate the sensitivity process, transforming
stereotypical perceptions of persons with disabilities, to an accurate
portrayal of their courage, strength and perseverance to overcome their
limitations. This awareness helps expand the vision of the ADA by
developing the language skills to effectively communicate with people
with disabilities in and out of the workplace. Implementing disability
etiquette in your everyday life, offers people with disabilities the
acceptance and encouragement to attain a greater quality of life. When
administrators and staff use disability etiquette, they offer employees
with disabilities a relaxed work environment, in which their talents can
productively flourish.
Acceptance and understanding begins with dispelling the fear factor of
saying something incorrect to a person with a disability. A 2004 Harris
Poll indicated what fears Americans have towards those with
disabilities:
-
Dispel the fear factor
skills
Harris Poll:
found 58% of Americans are
uneasy around persons with disabilities.
and 47% feel actual fear.
The New Face of Diversity training compiles
ADA compliant information and an introduction to Assistive Technology
solutions to help people with
disabilities lead more independent lives. The training's ultimate goal
is to dispelling the fear factor and establish appropriate
communications that produces an all inclusive society.
The New Face of Diversity in Business self
published desk reference is available to support the training.
Communication Training Media Magnet
is a media relations training program that educates government
agencies, business leaders and nonprofit organizations on how to
communicate with the media effectively. I have self published HOW TO
BE A MEDIA MAGNET, as a supplement and after support to the
training. The book and training provides effective techniques and
strategies to successfully develop persuasive communications skills.
Media Magnet training program is divided into three
parts:
Planning,
Executing and Performing.
Establish a relationship with the media and achieve your objectives by
defining your organization's message. Learn how to position this
message to targeted broadcast or print audience. Reporters are essentially
interested in how your product or service can benefit their audience. The
higher the benefit or harm your product or service is, the more newsworthy
the story.
Media Magnet training prepares professionals to enhance
their communication skills and media image. Discover how to promote your
message through Integrated Communications projects that synthesize radio,
television, newspaper, magazine, journals, and web sites to strengthen the
message of your product or service. This valuable communications training
will prepare your organization for a multitude of issues that can affect
or damage its image.
Documented research reports that the delivery of a television interview
impacts an audience based on 7% content, 38% voice, and 55% body language.
An expert communicator is an asset in developing lasting relationships
with members of the media, while creating a positive image for your
organization.
