Youth Senate Developing our Future Advocates

Florida Independent Living Council sponsored a youth senate for students with disabilities in Tallahassee. These students were selected from
throughout the state as potential future leaders by inspiring them to develop their self-advocacy skills to create change.

The Florida Independent Living Council is a statewide council established by federal mandate and Florida Statute. The council consists of
15 voting members, appointed by the Governor of Florida
