As a Florida advocate and journalist she channeled her maternal love to give birth to the Archer Disability Foundation. Rose Lee is a national disability advocate for social equality and employment opportunities for persons with disabilities. She has inspired her son as a self-advocate to work together to target issues that affect persons with disabilities and those who care for them. Rose Lee has been honored with numerous awards for diversity in the media. Her proactive leadership approach has captured the hearts of the media and government agencies. In 2004, Rose Lee was appointed by former Governor Jeb Bush to serve as a Business Advocate for the federally mandated "Florida Independent Living Council." In 2008, Governor Charlie Crist reappointed her for a second term.
