Step Up Florida and America on the Move are educational promotion the Department of Health is focused on. The objectives are to educate the public to a healthier lifestyle so they can help decrease the risk for many of the diseases associated with poor nutrition and physical inactivity. Parents know children are creatures of habit, so creating new daily routines, such as no television after school, and not allowing them to turn on the TV when their bored will take some energy to change. Parents need to be a good role model and add more activities to their day, because the more you move the more your working against numerous health problems and of course it will also benefit the health of your children who look to your for direction.
