VA National Cemeteries
Department of Veterans Affairs manages the countries network of
national cemeteries considered by VA as national shrines through its
National Cemetery Administration.
The VA maintains more than 2.8 million gravesites at 125 national cemeteries in
39 states and Puerto Rico as well as in 33 soldier lots and monuments
sites.
Occupied gravesites may hold the remains of more than one family member.
